Biography

Louis Trotman also known as SMOKEY ROOMZ was born and raised in the United Kingdom.
As far back as he can remember, SMOKEY ROOMZ always had an interest in music and dreamt of being a Rap Artist and Entertainer.
Winning talent competitions was a regular fixture in SMOKEY ROOMZ’ Calendar.
Whether in School, Community Centres or Carnivals, it was evident that ‘S.R’ had a real gift for Entertaining as a double act with his little brother Luke.

Coming from a large family has given him many different tastes in music from Michael Jackson to Prince
and Bob Marley to The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and other Motown Artists.
By the age of thirteen, SMOKEY ROOMZ was a renowned Garage MC and DJ in Firth Park – His local area in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.  He now had his sights set on a wider audience, So he formed a group called “THE YOUNG OFFENDERS” and recorded an album (with some friends) and a MIX TAPE with a selection of HIP HOP and GRIME MUSIC.
The YOUNG OFFENDERS were very well received and they performed all over the country at various shows and on radio.

“GET MAD” from the self titled “YOUNG OFFENDERS” album went straight into the top 20 of the UK urban charts in 2006
landing him an appearance on Tim Westwood‘s Radio 1 Rap show.

SMOKEY ROOMZ has just signed to TMI (Trace Me Incorporated) and has recorded a Hip Hop EP called “PHOENIX“,
soon to be released for free download.

The rap artist SMOKEY ROOMZ is also putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming MIXTAPE in the TMI studio.
There is a video for every track on the “PHOENIX” EP.

The “PHOENIX” EP features other rap artists such as Lady Leshuur, Rid-1, Medlei, Pinky GoGetta and Bc Da Bossman.
fusing a vast array of styles that include “INNA KILLA“, an old school Hip Hop track with a heavy bass line, a bit of fun and skippy energetic flows that fit the mood perfectly in contrast to “MY CITY” which takes a documentary style look into everyday life situations and the sometimes dark undertones on the UK streets today.
SMOKEY ROOMZ’ “PHOENIX” EP regional radio tour is in full swing and the “PHOENIX” EP promotional campaign also.
S.R has made a big impact on the UK music scene as a Rap Artist in a very short time, created a good buzz and profile.

‘SMOKEY’ has appearances lined up for SBTV, G-SHOCK SESSIONS and other viral Youtube Channels, is fully booked for summer on
the major carnivals and due to fly over to New York for Rap Artist – J Cole’s birthday party and has recently secured a role in the upcoming
UK movie “FRESHERS” Directed by Luke Biggins (Jacuzzi Films) & Co-Directed by Ashley Walters (Asher D, formerly of So Solid Crew).
The SMOKEY ROOMZ sound is new and current yet very ‘grown up’, innovative to say the least with a some what’classic’ authentic feel.
